Exploring Event-Chains
NOT EVERY LOOK IS SILENT. A HOUSE IS DARK is a joint performance by students from the ArtScience Interfaculty at the Royal Academy of Art, along with students from the departments of Composition and Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague.
Together, they explore collective play and discover ways to interlink their diverse practices. The performance is the outcome of an intensive one-week exchange workshop, during which students experimented with scoring techniques such as event-chains. On search for a playground where the interactions between different patterns create unforeseen meanings.
The title is inspired by the computational poem Stochastic Text by Theo Lutz (1959)
