Het verhaal omarmt het originele meesterwerk en neemt ons mee terug naar Victoriaans Engeland. We ontmoeten de krenterige Ebenezer Scrooge op de Kerstavond dat hij wordt bezocht door drie geesten; uit verleden, heden en toekomst. Zal hij zijn gemene, gierige gewoontes veranderen voor het te laat is?
Geheel volgens traditie zal het verhaal worden begeleid door de feestelijke kerstliederen van de Plum Pudding Singers. Ze zullen voorafgaand en tijdens beide voorstellingen optreden!
Over Ashley Ramsden
Ashley Ramsden is al 35 jaar verhalenverteller. In 1994 richtte hij de School of Storytelling op aan Emerson College in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Deze unieke school trekt verhalenvertellers van over de hele wereld aan, en richt zich op de verschillende takken van de kunst van de storytelling. Waaronder storytelling als podiumkunstvorm, in het onderwijs, als genezingspraktijk, voor het bedrijfsleven en storytelling in relatie tot de klimaatcrisis.
Ashley vertelt verhalen in theaters, tijdens storytelling festivals en clubs, in kastelen, bij mensen thuis, in kroegen, gemeenschapscentra en scholen, bij bedrijven, in gevangenissen, kerken, spirituele centra en bij liefdadigheidsprogramma’s. Al 18 jaar komt hij met Kerst trouw naar Nederland om dit tijdloze verhaal te vertellen.

The story embraces the original masterpiece transporting us back in time to Victorian England. We meet the wicked Ebenezer Scrooge on Christmas Eve, when he receives the visits of the three ghosts of the past, present and the future. Will he change his mean, miserly ways before it’s too late?
As per tradition, the brilliant Plum Pudding Singers will return to enhance the story with beautiful, modest and festive carols. They will perform before and during both of the performances!

Ashley Ramsden has been a storyteller for over 35 years. In 1994 Ashley founded the School of Storytelling at Emerson College. This school which is unique in the United Kingdom draws storytellers from all over the world and focuses on different branches pertaining to the art of storyteller. These include Storytelling as a Performing Art, Storytelling in Education, Storytelling as a Healing Art, Storytelling in the world of business, Storytelling and the Environment.
Ashley tells stories in theatres, at storytelling festivals and clubs, in castles, private houses, pubs, Camphill Community Centres, schools, in businesses, prisons, churches, spiritual centres and at charity events. He has been faithfully returning to the Netherlands since 18 years to tell this timeless story single-handedly.
