The sound of shattering glass, a balloon exploding or a piece of wood cracking. We all know what it sounds like when something breaks or shatters. But what does something sound like when it is saved from breaking?

In Zer-Brech-Lich (german for 'very fragile'), choreographer Alessandro Schiattarella and his ensemble create a piece of music theatre that explores the fragility and diversity of bodies.

On stage, three performers with disabilities — Victoria Antonova, Alice Giuliani and Laila White — explore their own and other people's identities using dance, text, sounds, objects and original songs written for the piece by Swiss artist Gina ÉTÉ.

They experiment with sounds, as though trying on clothes, transforming themselves and searching for pop moments. Zer-Brech-Lich asks how dealing with one's own fragility can become a political message, encouraging new sensual experiences.
