In this musical performance, Dilan gives a voice to the silent woman, the first generation of Turkish migrant women. She zooms in on their love lives, desires, sorrows, and disillusionments.

In The Silent Woman, actress and theatermaker Dilan Yurdakul gives a voice to her grandmothers - the first generation Turkish migrant women who left their country and built a new life in silence, rarely speaking of their dreams and losses. In this personal performance, Dilan brings their unheard stories to life and interweaves them with her own explorations as a woman born in the Netherlands: what does she want, how free is she to make her own choices, and what have these women passed down to her?

This performance has English and Turkish surtitles.
