Spectators and artists immerse themselves together in intimacy, party, sensuality, dialogue, art and glitter! At BECOMING, more is better, vulnerability is strength, party is depth and everyone is queer!

Welcome to BECOMING All About Love: an evening curated by all-round powerhouse and legend Amber Vineyard!

The evening is inspired by the radical honesty of bell hooks. Here, we leave behind the toxic ideal of monogamy. Instead we talk openly about the anarchy of relationships, messy feelings, and the joy of creating your own love story. Get ready for a love revolution: come sexy, come curious, come confused, come with that feeling you haven’t yet given a name. In any case: self-love on repeat.

Line-up

Hosts and programme makers Ro Rox Roxy Roxanna Verwey & Amber Vineyard will guide you through an evening centred around community and self love.
A speed dating happening guided by Amber Vineyard.
Music by multi-disciplinary performer with a love for RnB INBLVCKWETRUST. Representing the sounds of 90’s R&B bedroom classics, he creates ‘a boyfriend experience’ where love, seduction and heart break meet.
Screening of the film A waah di chile story where Sean-Claude Neufville acknowledges his Jamaican heritage, Maroon ancestry and the Jamaican queer community.
Surinamese raised artist Miss Kiki Mystique presents her latest musical burlesque to love multiple versions, pasts and futures of the self, in which love and lust for life are always at the center.
Performative duo Yooha Cheon & Kuangyi Xing present their act Have you eaten? a performance on love by Eastern Asian parents, using the metaphor of kink, the same tension between pain and love.
Sensual performer Mary Hoochie lets her body speak in an erotic interactive performance named A Kiss From My Lips.
During the afterparty, DJ Mistica will bring people together through music. With a mix of Amapiano, Afrohouse and Caribbean rhythms, she invites you to find love and connect with her music.

Good to know

BECOMING is always a mix of English (80%) and Dutch (20%), and also non-linquistic elements and vibes. The event will be presented in simple English. Some performances or interviews might be in Dutch.

If you don’t speak Dutch please join anyway, you will be able to follow the majority of it!
