Non-Dutchie series | Koninklijke Schouwburg, Theater aan het Spui and Zaal 3

In the Non-Dutchie series you will attend six different performances for which you do not need to understand Dutch. You will discover a selection of ‘No-Dutch Required’ theater with performances by a variety of national and international makers, in the Koninklijke Schouwburg, Theater aan het Spui and Zaal 3.

The performances are alternately English spoken, multilingual, in another language with English subtitles or contain no spoken language at all.

Before or after the performances we will have conversations and you will meet your fellow Non-Dutchies; occasionally actors, the director or other makers will join you.

In this series you will be communicated with in English. You will attend the six performances for €70.

Ever since October 2023, the life of Troupe Courage performer Alaa Shehada (Jenin, Palestina) has been wholly upturned. Alaa is in the Netherlands right now, and it's more urgent than ever that he tells his story. The performance is an ode to the power of imagination and the value of playing freely. Both physical theatre, a personal story about living in Palestine, and a celebration of imagination.

Nieuwe rechtse politieke partijen claimen en eigenen zich met succes het vocabulaire en de revolutionaire houding van oude linkse partijen, terwijl links een identiteitscrisis doormaakt. Het oude sterft, en het nieuwe kan niet geboren worden.
