Every year, students from the art academy and conservatory get the space to independantly develop a joint performance in Zaal 3. A chance to work and experiment in a professional setting and show their skills and results to an audience.

Exploring Event-Scores

A HOUSE OF DUST is a joint performance by students from the ArtScience Interfaculty at the Royal Academy of Art, along with students from the departments of Composition and Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire.

Together, they explore collective play and discover ways to interlink their diverse practices. The performance is the outcome of an intensive one-week exchange workshop, during which students experimented with Fluxus inspired scoring techniques, digital poetry and chance operations. A night of surprises.

The title is inspired by the computational poem “A house of dust” (1967) by visual artist Alison Knowles and composer James Tenney.
