Following the success of the No Limits Festival last year, we realized the need of addressing accessibility in the performing arts industry in the Netherlands as well as reimagining accessibility through a more creative lens. To move this conversation forward, we are organizing a focused Knowledge Session that will gather Dutch professionals from across the industry to exchange ideas, form connections, and begin shaping the next edition of the festival in 2026.

This session is a call to identify and explore the tools, technologies, and practices that can transform accessibility into an artistic innovation. We will reflect on what’s working, what’s missing, and what needs to be reimagined.

We will be in conversation with the two performers presenting their work on the evening of the same day: Chisato Minamimura (UK) and Romijn Conen (NL), who will share their experiences navigating the creative sector as disabled artists.

This session marks a critical step in building a more inclusive and imaginative future for the performing arts—one rooted in collaboration, experimentation, and shared responsibility.

The programme includes a lunch and spoken Dutch. A Dutch Sign Language interpreter will be present.

Romijn Conen

Romijn Conen is sinds 1991 actief als professioneel acteur in film, televisie, commercials en theater. Tegenwoordig werkt hij zowel achter de schermen als op het podium, met als missie om mensen te betrekken en te versterken die vaak tussen wal en schip vallen in de samenleving.
In september 2015 raakte Romijn betrokken bij een ongeval tijdens een try-out van een theatervoorstelling — een moment dat zijn carrière en artistieke focus ingrijpend veranderde. Sindsdien heeft hij zijn positie als performer opnieuw vormgegeven, wat heeft geleid tot zijn nieuwste voorstelling Vallicht.

Chisato Minamimura

Chisato Minamimura is een Dove performancekunstenaar, choreograaf en kunstgids in Britse Gebarentaal, geboren in Japan en momenteel woonachtig in Londen. Chisato benadert choreografie en performance maken vanuit haar unieke perspectief als Dove kunstenaar, waarbij ze experimenteert met de visualisatie van geluid en muziek. Door gebruik te maken van dans en digitale technologie wil Chisato haar ervaringen met zintuiglijke waarneming en menselijke ontmoetingen delen.
